That night beaver waited until moon had fallen asleep. Then he got up and got his skin back on.outside he found a forest of fir and pine and cedar, he pulled some up by the roots and with his spirit powers he made them into tiny pieces placing them under one arm in the other arm he had moons tools for making daylight. He took also some fire and ashes and leaves and bark and carried this in one hand in his other hand he carried the sun which moon had hidden in his house. Then beaver found the ho;e blue jay made and changed himself back into fox. Fox went back down the rope . He had brought with him fire and gave it to the people then he set the the trees down and he made daylight. Fox set the sun up so all people could have light and warmth. The people were very happy they had light and fire warmth and trees. When Moon woke he was angry when he discovered the trick fox and played and that he had stolen the sun and fire and trees. Moon followed fox's footprints, they lead him to the rope spider had made. I'll follow him to the earth world Moon said.As he started down the rope it broke Moon and the rope fell down in a big heap and was transformed into mountains. Today the peak is named Mount Si. The face of Snoqualm is still seen in the rock wall on the mountain. The trees fox brought back are the great forest of Cascade Mountains. So it is said.
